Valhalla Brewing have collaborated with Loophole again and organised the malt – a blend of Veloria base pale malt with some Munich and their aromatic Voodoo malt. The wort came out of the Loophole Brewing brewhouse a gorgeous amber colour with delicious notes of toast and caramel. Cape Jaffa Wines harvested the Shiraz from the block in front of the Cellar Door which was extremely candy-like. The beer pours a brilliant magenta, with flavours of candy, malt and dark fruits balanced by a tasty acidity. The great thing about doing these harvest beers is it feels so right drinking this as Autumn comes to an end, with the vines changing colour. We think we are (nearly) ready to embrace Winter with a beer like this in hand!
